And this year, Carolina Performing Arts commisioned our newest work, "Mosaic" by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui. I talk about the piece, and my journey from Juilliard to Graham. It is always a pleasure to come back home to perform. The shows were a success. Thank you again Emil Kang for having us! I can't wait until next year!

DEC 6 2016 THE MARTHA GRAHAM DANCE COMPANY RAISES MONEY FOR HAITI

The Martha Graham Dance Company was supposed to go to Haiti in October, but Hurricane Matthew devastated the nation. So the company came together to create a fundraising campaign and benefit performance. All of the proceeds from the event went to HELP: Haitian Education and Leadership Program. It was a wonderful evening. The company performed Martha Graham's Diversion of Angels to fun pop tunes, and we managed to raise over $7,000 for the Haitians.

The Graham Company will now be going to Haiti January 18-23.

OCT 9 2016 LESLIE PREMIERES IN TWO NEW FEATURED ROLES AT MARTHA GRAHAM

This season, I premiered in two featured roles with The Martha Graham Dance Company. I danced as the Woman in White in Diversion of Angels and The Pioneering Woman in Appalachian Spring. The company did two shows in Virginia- my birth state! I had lots of family in attendance. Their presence in the audience helped my premieres feel extra special.

If you missed it, you can see me in Diversion of Angels at The Graham Company's New York season at the Joyce Theatre, Feb 14-26!

SEP 11 2016 LESLIE PERFORMS IN LINCOLN CENTER FOR THE 9/11 TABLE OF SILENCE PROJECT

It was a another beautiful ceremony. We offered of the plates to the sky on a cloudy day, we stepped to the resonating beat of the drum, and moved our hands in unison with symbolic gesture. Table of Silence always makes me feel so connected to the world. Thank you Jacqulyn Buglisi for spreading the peace. We will always remember that fateful day, but we shall do so with open hearts.

AUG 19 2016 LESLIE PERFORMS AT THE BATTERY PARK DANCE FESTIVAL

I have finally gotten the chance to perform on an outdoor stage and it was amazing! Battery Park is at the very tip of Manhattan overlooking the Hudson River and the majestic Statue of Liberty. I performed the piece In the Spirit of Enheduanna with Buglisi Dance Theatre for the annual gathering of some great dance companies from around New York City.

AUG 8 2016 LESLIE TEACHES FOR MOVE (NYC)

MOVE (NYC) is a tuition-free summer program geared towards talented high school NYC students. I had the pleasure of teaching them ballet and contemporary for two weeks. It was a great time. MOVE (NYC) creators Nigel Campbell and Chanel DaSilva have put together something one of a kind, and I'm sure they will continue to make young kids dreams come true for years to come.

JUNE 28 2016 LESLIE  FEATURED IN BLOOD ORANGE MUSIC VIDEO 'AUGUSTINE'

A summer day in New York City was spent shooting a music video for the incredibly talented Dev Hynes, also known as Blood Orange. 'Augustine' is a track off of his new album Freetown Sound. The video pays homage to the city in all its coolness. One of my favorite things to do in the city is improv dancing on rooftops with friends. I'm so grateful for Dev. Grooving with him and the other amazing dancers was such a blast.

Watch the video on the Other Projects page and go listen to FREETOWN SOUND!

MAY 27 2016 2016 GRAHAM TOUR DATES ANNOUNCED!

MAY 23 2016 LESLIE STAGES TABLE OF SILENCE IN SANTA BARBARA, CA

In May, I received the opportunity to assist Jacqulyn Buglisi, artistic director of Buglisi Dance Theatre, with staging and dancing in Table of Silence at UCSB. The ceremony was performed to honor the lives lost in a tragic campus   shooting that happened two years ago. Buglisi Dance Theatre embarked on a two week residency teaching Graham technique and

choreography.

The original Table of Silence will be performed in NYC, in Lincoln Center on 9/11. For more info check out the performance page.

APRIL 23 2016 LESLIE PERFORMS IN HER HOME STATE

There's nothing like getting to perform for most of your extended family. Since moving away from home at the age of 14, it was always hard to get all of my family together to see any performances. Luckily for me, the Graham Company performs at Chapel Hill Center for the Performing Arts almost every year, thanks to the wonderful Emil Kang, who serves as the Executive and Artistic director. Emil was incredibly hospitable and made my experience in my home state one to remember. Thank you, Emil, and thank you to all of the family and friends who came out to support! It was a great time.

APR 10 2016 LOOK MOM, I'M IN THE NY TIMES!
